Trinity Cafe was founded in 2001 by Jeff Darrey with a simple yet profound mission: to unconditionally serve the homeless of Tampa, Florida a nutritious meal offered with love, care, dignity, and respect. Since its opening, Trinity Cafe has provided more than 2.6 million meals to those in need. In 2019, Trinity Cafe merged with Feeding Tampa Bay, ensuring that its mission of compassion and care would continue to grow.
Now, after much prayer and discernment, Jeff Darrey is once again answering a call—this time to an even greater mission. In 2025, the vision for Grace Cafe Rome was born. Built upon the same model of unconditional service to the poor, Grace Cafe expands the mission with a global vision. Located near the Vatican—the spiritual heart of the Catholic faith—Grace Cafe will serve as both a place of nourishment and a beacon of inspiration.
With over eight million pilgrims and visitors traveling to the Vatican each year, Grace Cafe offers them the opportunity not only to experience Christ’s love in action but also the opportunity to carry the vision home. From Rome, the vision is that Grace Cafes will multiply across the world, bringing dignity, care, and compassion to neighbors in need everywhere.
